šŸŽ‰ Business Bootcamp Wrap-Up & June Summer Meetup!

Yesterday we wrapped up an incredible 2-week Business Bootcamp and Business Festival, celebrating the launch of six brand-new small businessesĀ created by girls in our community! šŸ™ŒšŸ¾āœØ

Over the course of the program, the girls explored the key stages of business development — from brainstorming, branding and budgeting to ordering ingredients, creating a product and pitching to selling. They also studied the journeys of historical and contemporary Black women and girl entrepreneurs, learning how to lead with vision, courage, and creativity (Check out presentations from a couple campers to learn about a few below).

Many of our young CEOs made the powerful decision to donate a portion of their profits to causes they care about, connecting their businesses with real-world impact. These girls didn’t just build businesses — they built confidence, community, and a sense of purpose. šŸ’¼šŸŒŸ And thanks to family and community patrons... they were able to put money they'd earned in their pockets!

Those 2-weeks went by fast! All that what we accomplished and experienced can't quite be captured in this post - but The beauty of it all is that this is only the BEGINNING! In a world that is constantly promoting consumption and consumerism, we’ve normalized mindsets and movement of Black girls as producers and CEOs. We've provided a solid foundation for entrepreneurship, that we can will continue to nurture and build into the future!

See you in December for our Winter Business Bootcamp and Festival,Ā where we will come back together to sustain and start new businesses! In the meantime, if you’d like to support these budding CEOs, check out their website below:
