Royal Reads™: Superheroes Among Us

Make screen time count. This November, The blackgirlPOD™ invites your daughter to join Royal Reads™: Superheroes Among Us, a live virtual book club that blends reading, creativity, and confidence-building in a fun, engaging format.
Centered around Superheroes Are Everywhere by Kamala Harris, this month’s sessions help girls discover that heroes aren’t just in comic books, they’re in our homes, schools, and communities. Through guided read-alouds, thoughtful discussion, and imaginative writing and art activities, girls strengthen reading comprehension and communication skills while exploring their own power and purpose.
Each week, participants will:
Engage in close reading and discussion that nurture literacy growth and critical thinking.
