November Gathering: Gratitude & the Crowns We Carry
A joyful, creative gathering where Black girls (Grades 2–7) celebrate identity, sisterhood, and history. Through storytelling, art, and community, they’ll explore gratitude, create their own custom crowns, and connect with new friends. Space is limited—reserve your spot today.

Event Overview
The Crown Club is the monthly signature series of The blackgirlPOD™, designed to nurture joy, genius, and sisterhood through literature, creativity, and community. Each month features a new theme, a new Black woman or girl in history, and a fresh hands-on project and inquiry experience.
This November, we gather for Gratitude & the Crowns We Carry. Girls will reflect on who and what helps them shine—from family and ancestors to teachers and friends—then design a one-of-a-kind Gratitude Crown and begin their personal Crown Quest, a creative inquiry booklet that keeps the learning going at home.
What to Expect
Read-Aloud and Leadership Moments
Our Big Sisters (older participants) lead a shared read-aloud about a remarkable Black woman in history, guiding younger sisters through discussion and reflection to build literacy, leadership, and connection.
